General: Annual Toothleaf (Stillingia spinulosa) is an annual or perennial forb that grows in sandy places and has sharply toothed leaves. The plant is stiff, the flowers are small and yellowish, and the fruits are typical three-lobed spurge fruits.

Annual Toothleaf is an uncommon component of vegetation communities on sandy and gravelly soils in Creosote habitats. Around Las Vegas, look for this species along the Colorado River and south into California.
