General Description: Nashville Warblers (Oreothlypis ruficapilla) are tiny, sexually similar songbirds. Both genders are gray above with greenish wings and a bold white eyering. Males have a red patch on the top of the head.

Taxonomy: Passeriformes, Parulidae. Formerly Vermivora ruficapilla.

Favored Habitat: Mountain habitats with trees and brushy thickets.

Where to Find: Uncommon around Las Vegas, these warblers may appear anywhere during migration. They breed in the Sierra Nevada, Cascade, and northern Rocky Mountains.
